Disney Tries To Freeze Phase 4 Films’ Feature

Animation giant Disney filed a trademark lawsuit over Phase 4 Films’ ‘Frozen Land’ feature, alleging that Phase 4 changed the name of its film to “mimic” Disney’s recent animated hit in order to trade off the success of the feature. Disney also claims that Phase 4, in order to enhance the commercial success of their film, redesigned the artwork, packaging, logo and other promotional materials for the newly retitled film to copy those used for Disney’s ‘Frozen’. Disney moved for an injunction and destruction of all DVDs for ‘Frozen Land’ along with compensatory damages for lost profits and actual damages.

What are your thoughts on the strength of Disney’s claims ?
